Catherine and Andy

Andy enjoys the outdoors and particularly walking. Recent walking trips have included the Western Lake District and a circular walk of the Dark Peak.

Catherine has just returned from a gap year in Brazil and is spending time preparing for the walk. Shortly after the walk is over she will be taking up a place at University in the UK.

Fitness has to be relevant to the task in hand. Walking 256 miles in 13 days is no easy task. Both stamina and aerobic fitness are important, as is body weight. Training through August will include walking and aerobic exercise.
